There is a fifth season in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Late Summer. This is a season ruled by the Earth Element, a time of year where the harvest and digestion are highlighted. In the body, the Spleen and Stomach meridians are most active this time of year.

When Spleen and Stomach are out of balance, it can show up as stomach problems, flatulence, stress or muscle weakness. In balance, you have a strong immune system, steady appetite, and regular sleep patterns.

Yin Yoga is a sweet, slow practice of floor-based postures intended to help move stuck energy by stimulating the meridians thus allowing your body and mind to function in greater harmony. All levels welcome.
